We Deliver Results!
Due to the delicate nature of the state where we often find our clients, we have withheld specific names from the case studies below.
Scenario:
A manufacturing company had invested in the machinery and structure of its organization but had not invested in developing the culture or its leaders. The employees had been through very difficult times with the company (bankruptcy, stolen pensions and poor former leadership) when our client purchased them out of bankruptcy. The company culture was toxic. There was about a 20 year age gap between the more senior employees and their younger cohort. The older group was threatened by the younger employees and withheld information, played political games and the culture was toxic both on the leadership team as well as in the plant.
Departments operated in silos, processes were outdated and attrition was high. Our client also owned a more junior operation in another region of the country. While that operation was less dysfunctional, the relationship between the two regions was toxic and very few senior leaders at the larger operation showed support for or worked well with the smaller operation. The overall dysfunction in the company was costing the company in productivity, efficiency, ability to hire and retain talent which all impacted the financials. The owner/CEO brought in The Dash Group to assess and analyze its leadership team and organization.
Outcome:
Within the first three months, the company's response to our recommendations lowered costs by over one million dollars and improved processes on the floor. The Leadership team bought into the development work and the culture at the larger operation began to turn around and both locations began to build trust with each other and improve production. The value of the work between the plants was so significant that it raised the EBITDA by 2.5%.
CEO/Owner's Remarks: "I have spent 5 million dollars in my career on consultants and they haven't been worth a tinker's dam until we worked with The Dash Group. Our success is with them is so impactful that I have brought them into my other organizations."

Senerio:
A "B to B" client had experienced 26 months of a downhill slide in sales. A once thriving organization found itself in trouble directionally, structurally, and culturally. Employee departure was a revolving door and the comments on Glass Door were horrifying. The top leaders were fragmented and the chaos was palpable among the employees. This organization was in a state of crisis with no answers on how to fix the issues before them. This client was struggling to move from a start up to a more mature company and the CEO brought us in to help him find some answers.
Our assessment of the leadership and organization revealed a deficit in leadership competencies among the leaders, unhealthy teams which led to an unhealthy culture and a lack of structure that would support their goals. We were brought in to work with the leadership team to train and advise on correcting these issues while helping them create company values, develop an HR department and a strategic plan and execution plan to ensure that they stayed focused and began rowing in the same direction. They were hungry and worked hard to move from a toxic environment to a thriving, successful company.
Outcome:
The company had started to turn things around as Covid-19 hit. This "work from home" culture was going to be the first test to see how effectively they had incorporated the values, practices, and newfound trust that impacted the work ethic of their people. The business goals had been set before the pandemic and they closed in 2020 1% point from achieving their financial targets at a point in time where many businesses were closing their doors. The following year (2021) they reached their financial targets and halfway through 2022, they are up 15% over the 2021. They are able to attract great talent, care for their employees, and are poised to achieve their aggressive goals for the future.
CEO's Remarks: "If it hadn't been for The Dash Group, we would never have been able to do what we have done. They gave us the tools we needed to take our company to the next level."
